Sister Lucia of Fatima: Knowledge of God

everything is created by God“Who is God?

God manifests Himself also in the preservation of created beings. We see that the achievements of men are realised by using materials created by God; and, with time and use, these wear out, deteriorate and disappear.

How different is the destiny of the works which originate solely from the hand of God! Consider the sun: it has always the same strength, the same degree of heat, the same brilliance, follows always the same course laid out for it by God! The same is true of the moon, the stars, the planets, the earth, the seas and all that exists and was created by God!

It all must remain the same because that is what God wishes, since that depends on his omnipotent will. And they are here, before our eyes, indisputable witnesses to the power, the wisdom, the will and the eternal existence of God.

God created, for the good of humanity, many invisible forces, whose existence nobody doubts. Who, for instance, has seen the wind? We hear it, we feel it when it blows upon us, and we see its effects when it shakes the trees and tosses the seas. The same is true of oxygen, hydrogen, electricity, etc.

The person who believes in God is happy, because he knows he has a Father from whom all things come, yet is above all human paternity. He loves his Father, rests in his arms and lives for this Father who is goodness, mercy, forgiveness and love!”

25th March- feast of the Annunciation in Sister Lucia’s words

Sister Lucia talks about the Annunciation in her books "Calls from the message of Fatima"Through this feast day God reveals to us how the incarnation of the Word took place; He speaks to us of the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, that is one God in three distinct Persons: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God”.

God did not choose just any woman to be the Mother of His Son who, of course, could not assume a nature stained by sin. Therefore He made Mary immaculate from the first instant of her life, the moment of her conception; and she remained always a virgin. If Mary had not been full of grace and all holy, the Angel could not have said to her that she was full of grace, because she would have some stain of sin in her.

Through the merits of the Word made flesh, from whom we receive pardon and grace, we also, if we are fortunate enough to possess the gift of faith and to live a good life, are living temples of the adorable Trinity.

FATIMA PRAYER to THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

FATIMA PRAYER

“Most Holy Trinity,  Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.”

Prayer for the Beatification of the Servant of God Sister Lucia

Today, on 22nd March, we are celebrating Sister Lucia’s birhday, which she kindly shared with her private physician Doctor Branca Paul. We say thanks  for the life of Sister Lucia with this special prayer for her  Beatification:

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly and I thank you for the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima that revealed to the world the riches of her Immaculate Heart. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I implore You, if it should be for Your greater glory and the good of our souls, to glorify Sr. Lucia, one of the Shepherds of Fatima, by granting us the grace which we implore through her intercession. Amen.

The Angel’s Prayer in Fatima

In 1916 an Angel appeared to the three children as they were pasturing their sheep. The angel said, “Fear not, I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.”

The Angel knelt on the ground and recited this prayer three times as the children repeated it after him,

“O my God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee.

I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee.”
