Welcome the youngest Saints in the History of the Church, Saint Francisco and Saint Jacinta Marto

Saint Francisco and Jacinta Marto

All Catholic Church rejoices in adding two Saints to its numbers: Saint Francisco and Saint Jacinta Marto, the brother and sister, canonized on 13th May 2017 by Pope Francis during His Papal pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal.  Saint Francisco  (10) and Saint Jacinta (9) are the youngest non-martyr saints in the History of the Church!

Thanks to the intercession of Francisco and Jacinta, miracle happened, that helped to canonize the Saints:five year old Brazilian boy fell out of a window and damaged his head, which lead to the loss of brain tissue and very quickly coma. Boy’s condition was deteriorating rapidly. Parents began to pray to Jesus and Our Lady of Fatima. After begging for more urgent prayers in Carmelite Convent, one of the Sisters ran to the relics of Blessed Francisco and Jacinta, which were next to the Tabernacle, and felt the impulse to pray the following prayer: ‘Shepherds, save this child, who is a child like you’…she also persuaded the other sisters to pray to the little shepherds to intercede for him.”

All community prayed, and the boy awoke from deep coma few days later. “The doctors, some of them non-believers, said that his recovery had no explanation.” It was a miracle needed to promote cause of Sainthood of two children of Fatima!Little boy was completely cured!Praise God!

Saint Francisco, Saint Jacinta, pray for us!

O Jesus, it is for Your love, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins done against the Immaculate Heart of Mary

WRAPPED IN THE LOVE OF GOD FOR THE WORLD

The theme of the shrine of Fatima for the pastoral year 2013/14 is taken from the recommendation of Our Lady to the children, advising them that they could always offer Prayers and sacrifices and say: ‘O Jesus, it is for Your love, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins done against the Immaculate Heart of Mary”. This is a wonderful Theme that implies an understanding of the great mystery of love that He has for us and our love in return for this desire so not to deny the One who give us everything so we lack nothing.

It is for your Love. Who meditates on the love of Jesus the Redeemer, Good Shepherd, Good Samaritan, Friend of sinners, who loves us without end, and of the Cross is ultimate proof of this love for us. We cannot help but want to give back as much love, praise, reparation, and suffering, meditating on the love that Jesus has given us so that we will blossom into a desire to love him more and better. Everything is of love for him: prayer, suffering, work, penance, for our entire life, every second. We are a “living sacrifice” offered with Christ through love, since it was the love of Him that saved us as we tried to love Him and to love the world with that same love, being contributors in redemption.

The conversion of sinners. The first request proposed by Our Lady is the conversion of sinners. The love of Jesus is offered to achieve the grace of the conversion of sinners. Everyone who is baptized has this responsibility: to be with Christ the Redeemer, collaborating in the conversion of sinners, offer everything so that the world may be saved and find the love of Jesus, His Word and His Truth. The sin that exists in the world needs reparation which is another name for love. Sinners are in need of conversion and only love, life offered in love can help them convert. Everyone is responsible for this development, working together for this challenge.

In reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This Lady is our Mother We must make reparation for the sins that offend and hurt. We have to console. There are lots of profanity, insults, profanity on the name of the Virgin Mary, many denials of Her virtue, of Her Immaculate Conception, Her virginity. There are many offenses against Her heart, against Her pictures, against Her love and Her mission. Reparation is trying to love this Lady and Her Heart for those who do not love Her and who offend Her. This Mother deserves all the love in the hearts of Her sons and daughters. We pray for this love for those who do not love and who do not pray to Her and keep Her company by making this obligation.

Law of God in Lucia’s words

"We should engrave the law of God's love into our hearts" Sister Lucia of Fatima

"We should engrave the law of God's love into our hearts" Sister Lucia of Fatima

God’s insistence that we should engrave the law of his Love in our hearts, that we should use it as a symbol on our arm and a frontlet before our eyes, that we should have it written on the doors and doorposts of our houses, is in order to ensure that it should always be present to us, that we should meditate on it night and day, and that we should teach it to our children, to our brothers and sisters and to all those around us. It is to be the guide of our footsteps, that is, we must walk in the path of love.

The Great Promise of Our Lady of Fatima

The Great Promise of Our Lady of Fatima

Our Lady appeared at Fatima in 1917  to three little children, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, to warn the world, but also to bring a message of hope: “Finally my Immaculate Heart will triumph!”

In 1925  appeared to Sister Lucia, rested one hand on Lucia’s shoulder, while in the other hand she held a heart surrounded with thorns. Then Our Lady said to Lucia: “Look, my daughter, at my Heart surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce me at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude… You, at least, try to console me and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who on the first Saturday for five consecutive months, will confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary and keep me a company for 15 minutes while meditating of the mysteries of the Rosary, with intention of making reparation.”This is how Five First Saturday devotion came about. Our Heavenly Mother gave it to Sister Lucia, encouraging the faithful to pray the Rosary more and more, meditating on it and practising the Sacrament of Confession and Eucharist. Let’s not forget that Our Lady and Our Lord Jesus are hurt every single moment. Sometimes even by us…  Tommorow is first Saturday of the Month. We encourage you to start this devotion, it is fine and purifying for our soul, and it helps to console Our Heavenly Mother.

Remember this divine formula: 5 First Saturdays= Confession+ Mass & Eucharist +Rosary & 15.min Meditation+Intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Sister Lucia’s reflection on eternal life

How little we concern ourselves with eternal life!
When God created human beings, He destined them for eternal life by sharing in his divine life.  Our participation in eternal life must be decided between two very different realities: Heaven or Hell.
There are unbelievers in the world who deny these realities, but this does  not make them any the less real, nor does these people’s incredulity deliver them from the pains of hell if their lives of sin should lead them to it.
There are many passages in Sacred Scripture that speak to us about hell and its torments: “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life” [Mt 25: 41-46]

This text is taken from book “Calls from the Message of Fatima” written by Sister Lucia dos Santos, the last visionary of appritons of Our Lady in Fatima

Heaven, Hell, Purgatory do exist!

www.thecalltofatima.com

Sister Lucia wrote in book “The Message of Fatima” the following: Remember two young girls, my playmates, who had died, I asked: “Is Maria Das Neves already in Heaven?
The Lady replied:”Yes, she is.”
And Amelia? “She will be in purgatory until the end of the world.”

I have been asked many questions about this reply from Our Lady, and I do not really know the answers to them. I did not ask Our Lady herself for an explanation, it was too small a thing for me to remember to do so. But I have thought a great deal about this detail of the Message.

After all, I ask myself, what is purgatory? The dictionary tells us that it is a place of punishment in which the souls of the just are purified before being admitted to heavenly bliss.
So we see that the word “purgatory” means “purifications”, and seeing that we are all more or less sinners, we all need to purify ourselves from our sins, faults and imperfections in order to be admitted to the joy ofpossesing the Kingdom of eternal glory.”
