O Jesus, it is for Your love, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins done against the Immaculate Heart of Mary
WRAPPED IN THE LOVE OF GOD FOR THE WORLD
The theme of the shrine of Fatima for the pastoral year 2013/14 is taken from the recommendation of Our Lady to the children, advising them that they could always offer Prayers and sacrifices and say: ‘O Jesus, it is for Your love, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins done against the Immaculate Heart of Mary”. This is a wonderful Theme that implies an understanding of the great mystery of love that He has for us and our love in return for this desire so not to deny the One who give us everything so we lack nothing.
It is for your Love. Who meditates on the love of Jesus the Redeemer, Good Shepherd, Good Samaritan, Friend of sinners, who loves us without end, and of the Cross is ultimate proof of this love for us. We cannot help but want to give back as much love, praise, reparation, and suffering, meditating on the love that Jesus has given us so that we will blossom into a desire to love him more and better. Everything is of love for him: prayer, suffering, work, penance, for our entire life, every second. We are a “living sacrifice” offered with Christ through love, since it was the love of Him that saved us as we tried to love Him and to love the world with that same love, being contributors in redemption.
The conversion of sinners. The first request proposed by Our Lady is the conversion of sinners. The love of Jesus is offered to achieve the grace of the conversion of sinners. Everyone who is baptized has this responsibility: to be with Christ the Redeemer, collaborating in the conversion of sinners, offer everything so that the world may be saved and find the love of Jesus, His Word and His Truth. The sin that exists in the world needs reparation which is another name for love. Sinners are in need of conversion and only love, life offered in love can help them convert. Everyone is responsible for this development, working together for this challenge.
In reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This Lady is our Mother We must make reparation for the sins that offend and hurt. We have to console. There are lots of profanity, insults, profanity on the name of the Virgin Mary, many denials of Her virtue, of Her Immaculate Conception, Her virginity. There are many offenses against Her heart, against Her pictures, against Her love and Her mission. Reparation is trying to love this Lady and Her Heart for those who do not love Her and who offend Her. This Mother deserves all the love in the hearts of Her sons and daughters. We pray for this love for those who do not love and who do not pray to Her and keep Her company by making this obligation.

The Personality of Sister Lucia, the last visionary of Fatima, by Dr Branca Paúl
Sister Lúcia was joyful, youthful, humble, obedient, true, frank, transparent and spontenous, radiating joy of those who live in God and for God. She was well aware of the limitations and fragility that the human existence imposed on people. She kept in her heart that certainty, that was entrusted to her by Our Lady of Fatima “…in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.“♥♥
Sister Lucia’s major concern was the spreading of the Message of Fátima, constantly seeking to successful and exclusive fulfillment of God’s Will. She was the instrument of spreading the Divine Message, by impelling Fátima with the five continents and changing this land of Mary to the Altar of the World.
Together with Carmelite Nuns in Coimbra, Doctor Branca Paul has been participating in the creation of the film-documentary “The Call to Fatima”, which reflects two books written by Sister Lucia, to see more information about this film-documentary, please visit http://www.thecalltofatima.com, to purchase a copy, please go to http://www.thecalltofatima.com/paypal.html If you wish to receive a special DVD with an interview with Dr Branca Paúl on the Message of Fatima, please send your email to email@example.com

The 40 days of Lent, reflecting Christ’s 40 days in the desert, were the focus of Pope Benedict XVI’s catechesis this Ash Wednesday. Speaking to pilgrims in the Paul VI audience hall, the Holy Father reflected on the condition of the pilgrim Church in the “desert” of the world and history.
Pope said, that the period of 40 days “does not represent an exact chronological time, divided by the sum of the days. Rather it indicates a patient perseverance, a long trial, a sufficient period to see the works of God, a time within which we must make up our minds and to decide to accept our own responsibilities without additional references. It is the time for mature decisions”.
Pope Benedict also said: “In this “desert” we believers certainly have the opportunity to profoundly experience God, an experience that makes the spirit strong, confirms the faith, nourishes hope, animates charity; an experience that makes us partakers of Christ’s victory over sin and death through the Sacrifice of love on the Cross.
But the “desert” is also the negative aspects of the reality that surrounds us: the arid, the poverty of words of life and of values, secularism and the materialist culture, which shut people within a horizon of mundane existence, robbing them of all reference to transcendence. And this is also the environment in which the sky above us is obscured, because covered by the clouds of egoism, misunderstanding and deception. Despite this, even for the Church of today the period in the desert can be transformed into a time of grace, because we have the certainty that even from the hardest rock God can bring forth the living water that refreshes and restores”.

Sister Maria Lucia of Jesus and of the Immaculate Heart
(Fatima, 22.03.1907- Coimbra, 13.02.2005)
Sister Lucia was born in Aljustrel, a village in the parish of Fatima, in Portugal. Together with her cousins, Blessed Francisco and Jacinta Marto, she was visited three times by an Angel (1916) and six times by Our Lady (1917), asking them to pray and do penance for the remission of sins and the conversion of sinners. Sr Lucia’s special mission was to spread devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as the kernel of the Message of Fatima.
She joined the Congregation of St Dorothy in Spain. where she received apparitions in Tuy and Pontevedra. Seeking a more withdrawn life in response to the Message which Our Lady had entrusted to her, Lucia later entered the Carmel in Coimbra, where she devoted herself more deeply to prayer and penance. Our Lady came for her on 13th February, 2005, and her body was laid to rest in the Basilica in Fatima on 19th February 2006.
Sister Lucia’s cause for Beatification Process was started just three years after her death, on 13th February 2008.
Servant of God, Sister Lucia, pray for us!
The highlights of the Triduum in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary that took place in Dublin 7 to 9th October 2011:
1. The Poor of Dublin receiving 500 Rosary Beads and some requested Fr Andrew to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular for Our Lady’s protection as they walk the streets at night. There were children from many different faiths but it was not an issue for the children or the teachers.
4. Close to 5000 Rosary beads were distributed free and a similar number was enrolled in the Brown Scapular over the three days by Fr Andrew Apostoli (Franciscan of the Renewal – Vice postulator for Archbishop Fulton Sheen -Based in New York / EWTN ). Our Lady told us that world will be saved by the prayer of the Rosary and the Brown Scapular=)

Great highlight of The Call to Fatima Triduum in Dublin were Confessions, Rosary recited in many languages,Holy Mass and music from Louise Irvine and the inspired talks by Fr Andrew, Sr Angela (based in Fatima and is the Vice postulator for the cause of Blessed Francisco and Jacinta) and Thomas McCormack which appeared to uplift the faithful.
